Ok well cancel the 46gallon. GF and I decided we should spend our left over cash on bills which is smart. So I will be getting the 20g up and going only. No sump. So what should I use to filter it? will only have two clowns in. Could I try no filteration? just the live rock and sand? want to hear a lot of responses!

No I still wouldn't do "no" filtration.

Save up and get a small skimmer. AquaC Remora has one you can HOB (hang on back) less than $200, would be good for your size. I would get a HOB emperor styled power filter to house some carbon and physical filtration such as floss or low micron high density filter sheets. There are different points of view on these, as designs (canister etc)

For water movement look at Koralia power heads. Size 1 or 2 would be good, I'd get two. I just prefer these is all. YMMV

So I'd have, live rock (at least 20lbs), a skimmer, filter. 2PH

I'd also get these before investing in any type of quality lighting. The clowns wont mind the stock fluorescent

Ask away. We won't steer ya wrong, and if we do, there's another 10-20 of us in the woodpile to stomp the guy who did! 8)

    haha welcome.
