    Hi all,

I just joined the forum, looking forward to finding all sorts of good, useful information and to hopefully share some of my own experiences.

I've been an aquarist of some sort for most of my life. I currently have 3 freshwater tanks, two of those with dwarf shrimp of various types, one with about 100 Endler's livebearers...

I also have three brackish water tanks with Opae Ula (Hawaiian Red Shrimp) as the main occupants. Breeding like flies these days, I'm happy to announce.

My newest tank is a nano reef. In it I have several zoanthid and Green Star colonies, one small Pulsing Xenia, a couple Colt soft corals, one Yellow Watchman goby, a Neon goby, a couple hermits and some Sexy Shrimp. This tank is a bit overcrowded, I guess, though I do frequent water changes and have a refugium with gobs of macroalgae to cut back on nitrates...

What got this tank going in the first place was some blue legged hermit crabs that I was acclimating to brackish conditions to add to my Opae Ula tanks. While in the acclimation process one of the hermits hatched a bunch of eggs. Unfortunately the larvae only lived for several days. This last Saturday another batch of hermit larvae were released in this tank. By nightfall I couldn't find any of these babies, guessing the assorted critters in the tank had a banquet of live food!
