    Hi!
After so many years of freshwater, I am finally switching to marine!. Made a change in plans and decided to start slow. Rather than jumping into reef right away, will ramp it up slowly and start with fish-only, then add the corals once my skills are developed. This forum is great for information and I'm sure you'll be hearing my dumb questions very often!

    Laterz!

Welcome to 3reef!!! I would shift gears from "Rather than jumping into reef right away, will ramp it up slowly and start with fish-only then add the corals once my skills are developed." to honing your skills now and "slowly";) (good mindset) starting the killer reef. Why waste your time and money??????

I agree with mission. Start out with the correct mindset. If you are going to do it, you might as well go for it. It will take your tank a few months to cycle anyway and a few more months before there will be anything substantial in there. You have time to research.

hi i would say i guess thats a good way, just make sure you research every fish and make sure they are reef safe, a bunch of great looking fish aren't reef safe. most people do start with fish only just because people almost always get a fish before a coral.

Welcome to 3reef. I agree with everyone else. If you want a reef, start slow and learn as you go.

Welcome to 3reef. Patience is something you had better have in this hobby or you are going to spend a lot of money and kill a lot of stuff.

I agree with Otty and Mission. Do your HW before jumping into anything, esp. this hobby. Good luck and keep us posted. Ask away. Luna
