    im setting up a 55 gallon saltwater tank, its smaller than i would like but its what I have.

    Welcome to 3reef. There is pages and pages of info here. You can search the site all day and not read it all. About the 55.....its better than starting smaller. 55 is a good size. Did you do all your research?? What kind of tank do you want? FO?FOWLR?REEF?

    55 is a great size! At least you aren't starting with a 3g,lol.

    a 55 , well set up, taken slowly, with the right corals and fish in it, will be a great joy for you

    its a great size to start with IMO

    Welcome. Theres nothing wrong with a 55, you can always learn with the 55 and then move on to a bigger tank.;)
