I'll start off by saying all my water levels are fine no aggression in my tank or pests. I have five clown fish, the second largest so the male had been hiding for the last could days. They've all been in my tank for years and the two largest are full grown. Is the male maybe guarding eggs in the rock cave? He lets my coral beauty in there with no problems and the clown eats... Any ideas??

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    How large is your tank?

    No obvious aggression issues?

Does the dominate/female clown appear to be preparing to spawn?

Clown fish can just be so weird sometimes though for no reason obvious to us mere humans.

Some more information on your system would help. Can you look in the area where is is hiding with a flashlight to see if there is a cluth of eggs?

Knowing what type of clowns may also help...

They are just the good old cheap ones :) the cave is was to large ( two large rocks put together ) for me to be able to see in there. The one main rock has many small entree ways. I don't really know how to tell if the female is ready to lay eggs or not.
