    Hi
    I'm new too...lol
Been spying for a few weeks finally decided to join. I've ALWAYS wanted a salt tank, I'm one of those "animal whisperer" people... they all seem to love me & a salt/reef system is about the last frontier for me..... So I finally took the dive. I Got a 29g bio-cube, 2inch live sand bed, 30lbs live rock, a clown & a royal gramma --- all from some poor shmuck whos wife was making him get rid of it..($500 all in & well cycled ...yippee)
I cycled for 4 weeks with "stabalizer" to prevent "new tank" syndrome.... all levels great (super hardy fish don't hurt)...I immediately added my cleaning crew - 10 snails, 2 hermits & a camelback (my 1st official marine mistake..lol) Added a brittle star & some soft corals 2 weeks ago & all seems pretty good. Had a nitrate spike.. but took care of that with a water change & some filter maintenance.
I do have some questions... but hey, this is a long enough post for now eh..... lol
ps (I am canadian, if you hadn't gotten that yet eh....lol)

He has been picking at my frogspawn, think he killed a head, unless it was a new head, still didnt figure it out yet.

    Hello fellow water watchers.

Well hello all.my name is chris.I have been reading the post here for a while now.finaly decided to join in on all the fun.I've had fresh water for some years now. but went with salt about 1 1/2 yrs ago.started off with a fowlr in a 55 gal I had found.now I'm getting the coral bug ,but nothing to crazy.I had added some blue mushrooms, green recordia, and will look to start with some soft corals, maybe a colt or something.well a little about the set up.55 gal with hang on overflow w/20 gal refugium to hold chaeto/rubble rock,wet/dry with aqua c urchin skimmer, also 2 mj 1200.oh and 4x65 pc 2 10k 2 50 /50(thinking maybe halides for that oh so nice shimmer effect).ok no more running on.hope all have a good day.look forward to any advice you all can share.
