yeah I'd get PRIME, do a 2G WC ASAP, wait and watch params, and be ready for a few more. In a small tank, params swing QUICK, I have a 5g and 3g running now, any sudden change is amplified big time, and any change is ampified big time. you moved rock around in a young tank which stirred crap up and then created a new mini cycle, I'm guessing, but go REAL slow with a small tank, as in HOLY CRAP slow or really be ready to monitor and test ALOT

Ok thanks for the advice. I have instant ocean marine conditioner. Is this the same as prime?

Ammonia is at 0 nitrite at 1.5. Going to get PRIME!
The weird thing is my clown, shrimp, and snails survived. My corals are all opening. Only lost 1 hermit.

In a small system any changes can cause serious issues.Once you have the rock were you want it leave it alone and don't move it.Your tank is never done cycling. It is a constant process were the bacteria are trying to keep up with an ever changing ammount of waste.Keeping the mini cycles that inevitably occur to a minimum is key. This hobby drives away alot of ambitious people because invariably the natural tendancy is to start small(as in system) which are much harder to control.

If your ammonia is gone I would not add any Prime and just leave the tank alone to finish cycling. Adding Prime will just make it take longer. If your fish and other animals were exposed to Nitrite the damage is pretty much already done.Good luck.

Thanks for the advice vinny. I'm still going to take a trip to the store just to find things to help improve my fishes health. As for the scape I'm glad it turned out really good and it will stay that way.

glad to see your concern for your animals, what are you feeding them? to insure a healthy diet i would suggest you do some research on home made fish foods, its not that much more expensive and you know exactly what youre feeding your fish.

i spend about 15 bucks on fresh fish for the mix i make and i have a food stock for a good 2 months in the freezer.

this IMO is one of the best things you can do for your fishes health...
