High calcium level...

    wat will happen if my reef tank has high calcium level? will corals n fish die? im measuring 520

    it should be ok , just stop dosing and till your levels drop.

    You might get some calcium precipitation. Do you know why your calcium is slightly high? Have you overdosed or is your specific gravity high? Calcium at this level shouldn't be too much of a problem but you need to find out the cause. Do you measure magnesium and alkalinity? Calcium, magnesium and alk are all related.

    High calcium can lower alkalinity, are you testing for both? If it's still high, lowering it by doing a water change and topping off with RO is a plan. Are you dosing calcium? I've read, too, that sometimes test kits can be wrong, expired and such. If your alkalinity is low, and calc. reads high, then it's probably high. If alkalinity is high or normal, calc. test may be off. Are you using dip strips to test?

    What if anything are you dosing?

    Have you tried w/cs to lower the Ca?
