    That is an awsome "pond"....am a bit green...with envy. Very nice, would love to see behind the sceenes too.

    Thanks for the replys everyone. I promise I'll post some pics of the system tomorrow.

    For cooling, I have 2 Jandy heaters in the back of the house. 1 cools the whole pond but I bought another after the crash, can't be too safe. As for the salinity, the pond is below an awning that covers about 75% of the tank. Since it does rain a lot here in FL, I have a RO system also next to the units connected to a 500gallon tank which is always filled in case the salinity does get too low. I rarely see a drop unless it does rain a lot so I don't worry TOO much about that. Will post the pictures ASAP so you guys can get a better idea of the system.

    do you get a lot of phosphates and algae from the rainwater?

    Since putting up the awning, I rarely notice any algae at all. I'll notice some during the rainy season in the side where the sun hits, but the filtration system really does a great job of cleansing everything out. Think I over did it really but never want to go through another crash again...

    WOW! we measure our tanks in gallons he measures his tank in KILOgallons......haha, unbelieveable...... makes me want to :cry: both with envy and jealousy. very nice
