So after 5+ years of the original post, the tank has finally moved to a better place . I will post pictures of what's left later tonight...

 

Better place? Why the sad face?

 

Algae completely took over. With the pond getting hit by direct sunlight on a daily basis, I could not keep up with the cleaning. The design itself wasn't as clean as it should have been. I made everything "rugged" to give it that "marine" appeal but it just made the cleaning worse. I literally had someone dive into the tank weekly, without including the maintenance I did, and we still could not keep up with the algae growth. If I could do it again, I would definitely make things a lot simpler. Anyway, below are the pictures of the tank while we were removing the fish for the transfer.
