once a day, I think ive been feeding it to much, the lfs told me to feed it small pieces of shrimp, which Ive been doing but I noticed it wasnt eating it all and leaving bits of every where, this is causing ammonia to go up no?

My LFS recently told me they only feed there display tanks once maybe twice a week because thats how often they would eat solid food in the wild so that is what i started doing.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Uneaten food and a newly growing biological filter caused the ammonia spike most likely. Water changes and carbon are better than any level of ammonia IMO. And do not feed the clown for a day or two and then switch to some quailty pellets or flake.

    Good luck.
