Nice to know it doesn't work on all species. I just did a water change to lower the Mg levels since all of my snails were starting to die, they're doing a lot better now. My outbreak isn't bad at all, just one small patch which I've managed to keep under control.

I kept my Mg levels at ~1600 for about a month and kept my lights off for 5 days out of the week (the other 2 days were only on for 3 hours) and my bryopsis died off. I also raised my Alk and Ca levels and only had 1 snail die. Even my anemone survived. Too bad my magnets rusted and killed my snails and anemone after the byopsis died. :(

If you only have a small patch, a real easy fix is to cover it with epoxy, the stuff you use to glue rocks together. Just spread it out, make sure all of it is covered and wait a month or two. I did this and successfully killed off large patches of it in my tank.

I'll give that a try. The only problem is part of it is in my zoa colony and right now the colony consists of only 5 polyps.
