Just curious. Did you start this tank with rock and water from your other tank? You should also know that with a 10 gallon reef your room for error is slim to none. If you keep or chose to keep your present stock then you need to IMHO adjust your husbandry/water changes to accommodate your fish or we will be having another why my fish are dying thread.

We are not trying to tell you what to do with your tank. Only a guideline to assist you with your present situation.

To the OP... Man, if you want to have 3 fish in a 10 then you need to do a WC like every other day. You are feeding them WAY too much. Honestly I'd cut back to feeding every 36 hours if you want to keep everybody. Yeah, it's bad to starve your fish but they are just chokin' on toxins. Also the bloodworms are not needed and neither is the flake. Just give them a bit of Mysis shrimp.

SWF- Good Morning! Hows the tank coming?

I think you said you currently have a 125 up and running? Curious as to why the 10g? No problem with it however.

As I think the reefbro said, 10g leaves a very narrow margin on params, etc.

And, I have been blasted when I throw out the 1 fish per 10g ratio. One that I firmly believe in. (one of my posts they started talking about 'fish inches per gallon' and it was about the same. Yah, hard to keep 3 in a 10g and do it well.

And as far as RC goes, well, several stuck up people and moderators with NO sense of humor!

In the cyber world, in general it's easy fot people to hide behind a keyboard, etc. I'm not finger pointing here- don't worry everybody.

I feel this forum has a LOT of wonderful people, where the rudeness is slim to none.
I hope you choose to stay around here also, where everyones input is appreciated!

1 fish per 10 gallons? So I can only put 3 fish in a 30 gal? Even little bitty Gobys?

I completely agree. I liken this to putting a few humans in a small room and pumping it with toxic gases, just enough so that it isn't lethal. I hate to be the bleeding heart but you are overstocked, feeding too much, and your fish are suffering for it.

Lol dude, on RC the snark would be thick enough to cut with a naganata. I think almost anyone is going to come at you for your stocking list, but anyway you cut it 10g is not alot of space. 5g water changes every other day will work until the clowns get stressed and try to kill the goby, but i think you will see many health issues even keeping up with maintenance.

Wow didn't realize i was shaking a hornets nest. Since i had first posted my Goby has returned to his normal behavior. Again i do sincerely apologize for the snide remarks i made, towards my fellow members and towards this site.

Here is the run down of what's going on.

The aquarium where these 3 fish came from had an electrical fire and was forced to move them into this temporary home once i can obtain the correct equipment and levels.

What set me off was, The ASSumption that was made towards my care for these fish and how i should not keep them in this tank whether it be temp or permanent. I should have made it clear that it was not permanent.

I still disagree 100% with said remark about how these fish would be too much in a 10 gallon aquarium. I'M sure they can be kept in a 10 gallon but it's not a responsible thing that should be done.

I perform three 25% water changes each WEEK to maintain levels.
The levels are always within correct range and i have not had any problems.

To begin i had transplanted live rock, sand and saltwater from my 125, and equipment from another tank that was already running.

The reason i had posted my concern was due to the live rock that i moronically purchased through a shady jerk, off of another forum. Which was supposed to be kept in a well maintained tank, It was far from it. Since then i have ditched it all and chalked it up as a lesson learned. I also forgot that when i added that rock that i would cause a mini cycle, Which no one had pointed out.

This is not my first rodeo. This one one of 13 Aquariums in my home. Anyone is welcome to come check them out, Admission is $10 a head. ;)

    ,Cheers!
