    i have my ph around 8.5 and never had any problems, in fact it makes my water crystal clear and all my corals are thriving. when my ph goes too high, i make the water flow in the tank lower and it goes down a little bit, i don't use any kind of buffers.. you can try by lowering the flow in the tank and make sure your tank is topped off to that certain level of water you should be maintaining it at, le tme know if it works, gl

    When I needed seltzer water, I went to a local bar and asked if I could buy some plain old carbonated water. I'm sure you can also find it in your grocery store too, it is completely void of any added ingredients, like sugar/ starch and color. Seltzer water = carbonated water. Just don't drink it, it tastes nasty! I would use 1/4 cup per 10 gallons of water to lower it slowly.
