    Well I believe sooo! After i conquered my horrible GHA, which may I add theres not a spec in the tank!;D Today Ive noticed a few (10+) little blotches of purple starting on the back of my tank which to me looks like coraline algae! *cross fingers* Im so pumped!:):):)

    It will spread faster in your tank if you scrape it off.
    This sends a bunch of small pieces everywhere. :)

    condrats!! I been trying to achieve that for a year already but I had it all wrong!! my params were off and phosphates didn't allow it to grow but hopefully I will be celebrating the same as u soon!!! enjoy.

    That's great news. It means your tank is healthy. I remember how pumped up I was when I noticed a few spots for the first time in my tank.

    Hahaha give it a few months and you'll want it gone gone gone. We bought 2 urchins the other day just so we could get rid of some of ours...ugh. It's everywhere. :p

    But yep, that's a sign of a healthy tank! Sounds good to me! It's fine when it's on the rocks. Scrape it off the surfaces you don't want it on. And be sure to scrape it early, once it starts growing a bit, it's harder to get off. I recommend an old credit card or razor blade to scrape it with :)

    Congrats thats a good sign. In a few weeks you'll be praying for it to disappear on its own so you wont have to scrape it. It does look cool on the back glass though. We have 3 urchins that keep ours in check for the most part but we still have to scrape it occasionally.
