    I wouldn't be too peeved about the rock coming from another customer's tank. Chances are it will have fewer harmful hitch hikers than rocks from the ocean.

    However, much better chances of being in an unsafe and unstable environment. I would not want rock from a tank over-ridden by ich, disease, or mold. You never know how well the aquarists before you maintained his tank!
