    Well I was just showing my mum when to add water ,from evaporation, to my tank.. and i found a little hitch hiker idk if they are good or not... here is a picture.

    Not so sure I would trust a starfish in my tank until I found out for sure.
    If you can grab it and put it in a jar in your tank, I would. Not that big of a loss if you just get rid of it altogether.

    I am looking for other peoples advice and input.. but thankyou

    I dont have any corals or anything just LR and some small feather dusters that also came on the LR along with this
    starfish

    If is asterina star, which it appears to be, you may come back and find 100 in tank.

    And you will be "blessed" with them forever.

    They are good algae and glass cleaners so you may want to keep around...many do.

    I even have had a few people ask me to send them some.

    Back in old days when algae was much more difficult to control then now, these little stars were considered quite an asset.

    I really don't mind mine now that I am reasonably sure they only go after green algae. But mine are generally whitish. Many types..That one looks pretty dark. May not be the benign kind. :-/

    Best policy is to get rid of any hitch hiker you are not sure about.

    The LR was supposed to be curred. This is the first time in about a week that i have seen it which is when i got my LR.

    I have been keeping my lights off and what not i will just let him stay I think.
