hitch hikers on my live rock

    Hi. I just bought some live rock from my LFS and I had a couple of hitch hikers that I could not identify. :confused: I'm also not sure what to feed them if anything. Thank you very much!

    Pic 1 is a couple mushrooms. All they need is light and low flow and they will be fine. Not sure about pic 2...

    edit: Pic 2 may be clove polyps, I think they have 8 "leaves"....
    I'm still learning though so don't take my word on it.

    nice LR, i think you might have lucked out with some sweet hitch hikers, but keep an eye on pic 2... its hard to see from the picture angle but they could be majano or they could be what coasta reefa said...

    Pic 1 are hairy mushrooms, they can grow very large and have been known to catch fish and eat them.

    Pic 2 are daisy polyps, light and dissolved nutrients from the water column is all they need.

    Wow thanks guys! I looked at some pictures and I think that they second ones do look like daisy polyps. You guys are such a great resource! Thanks again!
