Hitchhiker on snail

    This snail has several of these small octagon shaped this on it. In the center there is a small fan like thing moving in and out. Good or bad?

    looks like some type of bivalve,tunicate(sp),barnicle or something similar

    LOL you just got an order from reefcleaners!

    They're just barnacles. My Nerites were covered in them too. Looks to me that most of the clusters are empty so not many living barnacles. Nothing to worry about.

    Yes it was a reef cleaners order. All of the barnacles on mine are alive..... should i toss it?

    They won't hurt anything. They are just filter feeders so kinda good to keep.
