I just did a water change and was looking over my tank and I came across a small sea star. It looks a lot like this: Saltwater Aquarium Invertebrates for Marine Reef Aquariums: Serpent Sea Star, Fancy Tiger Striped. It is much much smaller though, maybe 1.5" end of arm to end of arm. I am worried this will decimate my tank like all the threads about sea stars said when I searched. Is this something I should remove?

I am guessing it come on my 2lb piece of LR I bought to seed my 45lbs of base... I really wish that I had a better LFS cause the LR they sold me was "premium" with lots of aiptasia, bubble algae and GHA. I picked the best piece, but it was still terrible. I am not sure I will be going back there, I may just mail order everything, or (gasp) go to Petco from now on.

This is no harm at all. I love these sorts of stars.

Thanks, K+ to both of you!

Sorry for freaking out a bit... I have read horror stories during my search.
