    I found this on my live rock. it is about 1.5" in diameter. It opens and closes. Sorry about iphone quality photo.
    I think its an anemone. Can anyone provide more specific ID? thanks

    It looks like a rock/flower anemone to me. I have one in my tank.

    Looks like a carpet or maxi-mini anemone. That is a very cool hitch-hiker, congrats.

    Could also be a maxi-mini. Didn't think of that.

    i was thinking maxi-mini anemone also. how sticky is it. mini maxis are very sticky with a good sting. when i bought my mini maxis they were hard for me to place in the tank, they took such a hold of my fingers. congrats on what ever it is its a nice hitchhiker

    Very pretty hitchhiker, my first thought was a mini-maxi but it also looks a little like a ricordea. A clearer picture would clear up the difficulty. I also suggest looking up our suggestions to make sure we are right and read up on its needs. Good luck.

    Wow, this place is great and fast! I will try to get better picture. From pictures on the internet, my hitchhiker looks most like a rock/flower anemone.
