    Can anyone ID the coral circled in the pic. It's growing on Florida LR.

    I now say Favia or Leptastrea.

    I agree with evolved some sort of Faviid, I think the polyps are too large for a Leptastrea

    I never would have thought it was a Favia. With it's tentacles out it looks like Leptastrea to me. Are the Favia tentacles in pics usually retracted?

    Now when I take a look at the skeletal structure it seems more like a type of Favia.

    While searching pics I came across this post. There is pic in the post of a coral that looks identical to the one I have.
