Those lumen max reflectors will give you better light reflection with out a doubt. How much more light??? No idea... But those two reflectors are like night and day.

The lumens look real tasty... And your putting them in your canopy so now your searching field has really narrowed itself. I have a fixture so no real experience with reflectors in a canopy...

lets see who else will post

I have seen the lumenmax elites in action and they are nuts. I will tell you that you will shock your stuff without a doubt. I have seen it happen. You WILL need to cut your light cycle down for a while

I would get them for sure. Honestly, just be sure you are careful. You will shock your corals. A buddy of mine went from pfo spider reflectors to these and his tank was almost completely white within the next week and these were acros only.

As long as you have room to put these go for it. These are big reflectors, and you have to have room to fit them.

These are 17.5in L x 14.5in W x 5.3in H. Is the 17.5" long the way the bulbs are sitting so the bulbs are parallel with the long side of the tank? I would think so. And then you would have around 8.5" of total space over your tank's top. If they are 17.5" the other way, then you would only have around 4-5" of space for your VHO's. You still have VHO's right?

Personally I would upgrade the VHO's to t5ho retrofits before I messed around with MH reflectors.
