Is it ok to turn my lights back on when they have already been off for an hour or so? I hear people use alternating (on/off) lights for SPS frag tanks, but is it ok to do?
    Thanks, any input is appreciated

imo its not a good thing as u want ur corals and such to get use to the times ur lights go on and off that wway they can get the most out of the light or on the other hand lps and such feeders come out at nite

+1 to above, besides the wear and ear on ballasts from being turned on and off more often.

    Ok thanks.
So I guess I will not do this.
But, what is the deal with the people that do it with frag tanks? Why 'would' it help?

They may be preventing light inhibition by doing this or so they think.
