I would really appreciate some input about this. I am worried I may not have thought this through all the way...

I got a great deal on an ADA-60P. Someone bought it and decided they didn't want it and I ended up with it for half off retail. I have bought an Aquamaxx HOB skimmer (it's rather large) to go on the tank. I will also have aquatic life T5's mounted to the tank. My question is, will the ADA rimless be able to support all that weight. I called ADA and they said it would be ok, but I am still uneasy.

What do you all think? Thank you so much for helping me out. I am completely new to saltwater and have to say.... I'm pretty stupid at this point.

It should be fine, but I would try to build some kind of support attached to the back of the stand for the HOB skimmer.

Thanks for the quick answer. There should be some way I can give the skimmer some sort of support from the bottom. Maybe a wooden block, wedged underneath it and screwed into the stand? I would think that would be enough maybe.

Actually, I just realized that the Aquamaxx is not going to fit with my current light setup. There isn't enough room widthwise in the tank. Does anyone want to buy the aquamaxx? I can't return it due to the open box return policy at MarineDepot (dumbest thing ever - no option to pay restocking fee).

You could run it off a sump?
