I have a couple cheap HOB filters that after being stored for a month or two decided to stop working. I find it really odd that these 2 filters that worked perfectly fine on my QT tank just both stopped working after being stored. Is there anything I can do to get them working?

Do they need a vinnegar bath to de-gum them, or is there anything else that the salt water could have messed up / needs cleaning? If so what and how?

    Thanks!

change the moter? replace somthing...and or if it is not the moter or the something you need to replace...just go buy one, aqua clear 150 or something is like 15 bucks at like Petco or petsmart....just get one of those and that should be fine for a QT. And that about it tho because it will probebly cost you around 10-15 bucks for a new moter and stuff so i would just get a new filter

Thanks for trying . . . I guess? I left them to soak overnight in tank water and this morning they both fired up no problem.
