    Hello,
    I am a newb to the site and saltwater and can't wait to up and running! My mother always had a freshwater tank up and running when I was a kid so not all of the concepts are foreign to me but as you all know this is a lot more involved.
    I purchased a 30 gal quarter pie tank with stand and sump/skimmer to get me rolling. (going to start a build thread soon). I also have a great mentor with a outstanding tank along with a friend in another state that owns a LFS to help me out.
    I've been lurking 3reef for a couple days and my mind is blown, the amount of community is awesome here. My favorite thread so far has been the mistakes thread. I both laughed and cringed while reading it. I look forward to getting to know you guys and learning as much as I can.
