Picked up a frag with about 20 eyes but was not too big, maybe 2" across or so. I think I paid around 25 for the lil guy too. Anyway he broke a few times while getting him secured to the rock and I jammed the broken fragments into crevices in LR. It's been about 2 months and those little pieces have already doubled in size and the main colony is starting to show signs of new growth as well!

It's very amazing coral under the actinics and is probably faster growing than my GSP!

Are all chalices this fast growing? +1 to the Hollywood Stunner Chalice! :)

No, many will take years just to hit the size of a half dollar. Such as the BPC flamethrower.

It depends on the species of chalice. That particular species does grow fast (just like ORA blue), but other species grow slower than you can imagine. There's quite a few different species of coral which are all referred to as "chalice".

I've noticed mine grow faster when well fed (2x per week), lower lighting, and moderate flow. It should be noted that I do not have your species.

its starting to put out 1/4" tentacles which it hasn't shown yet so it's exciting to observe.
