a lfs around me is offering multiple pieces of a coral they call a hollywood stunner chalice. They range from 10-35bucks for various sizes and are broken off of a larger mother colony in their display tank.

Im trying to find out more information but am having a hard time finding anything other than a couple random threads on various forums, none of which really talk much about care, hardiness, cost, etc. Anybody have any links to help me in my research?

The price is reasonable. It will like low to medium light and medium flow. I would suggest mounting it low on rocks in a lower light area especially if you have strong lighting.

Is each spot an eye?? Compared to a lot of other chalices they seem to have a lot of eyes. That dif looks pretty close to what the lfs had to offer, although I have learned to really question many of the IDs they give

would it become more of an encruster where it takes the shape of the rock it is on and just spreads over the rock or does it plate out?

It will encrust to a point and then plate.

This species is one of the fastest growing chalices I have seen. +1 to low light, mine gets med flow and still grows quite fast.
