Makes me sad to see that picture. What a shame. I would like to put a rope on those guys and pull them with my truck.

The waste is if they don't eat it. To kill for killing's sake is not sport. However, to take it home and grill up some steaks, now that's living. For me at least. I appologize if I offended anyone who doesn't agree with responsible harvest of game animals.

    Cheers,
    Ray

I'm with ya Ray....the predator eventually becomes the prey. Perhaps, just as the shark preys on weaker, sick animals, this shark may have been at the end of it's days, as it swam up to the boat, which is unusual behavior for a shark. ;)

Man is the only animal on this planet that kills for "fun" (not eating the food - to "hang the prey on a wall in his den" as a trophy).
The shark is a cool fish - too bad.

My wifes cat always leaves a bird or mouse trophy on our doorstep.

Killing for fun in the Animal Kingdom, I'm not one who like attaching human attributes to animals. There are many species in the animal kingdom who kill and do not make use of their prey. If killing and not making use of the prey is killing for fun, well, mankind, Homo sapien sapien, is not alone.

HOLY GEOMETRY BATMAN!!! This has taken an obtuse tangent.

    Cheers,
    Ray

Well, after owning about a dozen or so cats in my time... I bet Craig that you "clean up what the cat dragged home" and throw away the unfortunate bird or mouse (a natural human reaction). However, I will bet you that if you had left the "cat's trophy" alone that the cat will eventually eat it! Especially if you did not feed it for awhile. Try that next time your wife's cat leaves a bird or mouse at your doorstep - and take away the domesticated bowl of "Friskies" that you leave out for the cat! Bet you'll see a feather or a clump of fur in your cat's mouth.

We are off subject, maybe the moderator could take this to the bucket?

It's all good Ray. These tend to wander at times, but they do reflect the diversity of thought and culture we all have. As long as it's not personal we're OK, eh?

Now, how much food do you think it takes to keep a 1,035 lb Mako Shark going? Yikes!
