Seems to have appeared overnight in the middle of my Zoas. Do Aptaisia really get this big? I have had a few in the tank but nothing even half as large as this mutant. Wanted a second opinion before I attemp to zap this guy. Hopefully I wont kill the Zoas when I nuke the thing.

Can you say Aptaisia toast!!!! Unfortunately my syringe stuck so I overshot and got quite a bit on him and the surrounding zoas. Will have to wait and see if it kills them also. But for sure The A is nothing but a pile of calcified goo now.

    Thanks for the quick response.

it shouldn't kill the surrounding unless it was a direct shot usually so you should be OK

Zoa's should be fine. You might want to blow off the extra stuff under a powerhead though

I just toasted some manajo and aptasia the other day. My wife was watching. It really bothered her. "Oh, the poor things are wilting up to nothing!!!!". Yup. That's the idea baby.

Pull out the rock and scrub them off under a tap. ;D

Do not attempt to remove them inside your tank. It will just force them to a-sexually reproduce and you will have thousands of them.

If you get lucky peppermint shrimp may eat them.
