Ok so I had just demodded my maxi-jet 1200's back to stock and me and my girlfriend where sittin around watching the fish swim around the tank, and i noticed something. I was missing a fish!

It was my little ocellaris Nemo, usually he goes up in the corner sometimes to rest from riding the current but i could not find the little guy. So i became worried and began looking around. I found him down under my stand motionless. I quickly picked him up and as soon as i touched him he started squirming. I panicked and didnt know what to do so i gently laid him in the tank. The luckly little thing took off like a champ!;D whew

I just added a new ocellaris yesterday and they really havent been to aggressive towards each other until i put Nemo back in the tank. Now they are literally beating the crap out of each other. Is the competition for dominance between clowns normally this abusive? Sometimes the get a big run at each other and headbutt. It looks really rough, should i not be worried and just let them sort it out?

if they dont sort it out soon, you could pull all the clownfish out, rearrange or move a couple of things to throw them off then put them back in the tank. they would then have to find their homes again or reclaim their territory, idk how you put it lol. then they should be fine. hope this helps!

Usually after a few days, the "loser" will become the less dominate one, or the male I believe. If not, they may kill each other. Tigerlily has a good point, if you rearrange the rock, they will find new territory and should become less aggressive.

I've glad you rescued nemo! We've had 2 jumpers, a pinkbar goby and a coral beauty. We weren't able to save either, because both jumped at night, and both jumped BEHIND the tank. Now we the tank lights get turned off our eggcrate-mesh top goes on, to prevent anyone else from trying their luck on the carpet.
