holy jumping jawfish

so i have had my blue spotted jawfish in my bc29 for three days and woke up this morning to his disappearance. i searched everywhere and could not find him until i decided to check my filter chambers and believe it or not he jumped into the return chamber under and into the middle chamber under the bottom grate. i felt like i was yelling at my child telling him to stay away from the forbiddin area lol.

 

Yes, they are the worst jumpers, mine had found his way into my overflow many times (through very small openings) before I made a really secure mesh screen with BRS's netting.

Random side note, my daughter's mother's family lives in Fall River, so I'm up there a few times during the year. Are there any good LFS' up there, I've never looked. I still want to stop by the Lizzie Borden house, it's like a 10min walk from the house up there.

 

there are a couple places up here there is one called Coral Reef aquarium in seekonk ma he deals only in marine aquariums but be warned he is extremely sloppy awsome corals and fish but literally you will be stepping over junk all over the floor. The store that i mostly deal with is called Underwater world in the Galleria mall in taunton ma. UW is extremely knowlegable very well taken livestock, all the newest products and some rare corals. both places are about 5-10 minutes from fall river but definitely stop by UW.

 

I had two (yellow-headed jf) in a mixed reef in the early 90s. Lost both of them to jumping.

My favorite fish in the tank... I love those little guys! Won't add another.

 

ive been watching him since i took him out of the back and he keeps poking around the overflow i dont know why. i wish i knew what these dam fish were thinking
