You know, I've been really patient up to this point:

    - I bought the exact tank I wanted

    - I took the time and rod/epoxied my rocks exactly how I want, its perfect to me

    - I took my time building the stand and the sump

    - I researched and bought the lights I wanted

I really think I took my time getting to this point, and now that the tank is finally cycling.........I'm...............just...........waiting.

Always bought live rock in the past, and now that I'm using dry base, waiting for a real cycle is killing me. Dude.

No there's no real point to my rant, just venting. And waiting. :computer:

    I know.....sigh.....

And it didn't help going to the LFS yesterday. Atleast I'm patient enough to not have come home with something. Ill give myself credit for that.

Live rock or base rock, you would still be a waiting. How long has it been since you started cycling?

I think I'm sitting at about 2 weeks. Ammonia is about 2.0, nitrites off the chart.................and 0 nitrates.

My last tank I used cured LR, I think I remember a little mini cycle during the first 5 days or so, but I was adding fish after the first week on my old 75. But I'm WAY happier with this aquascape.

Patience is key! My new 20 gallon nano is cycling as we speak and I'm taking it super slow. My pukani rock is in the tank now cycling as we speak and I won't be putting anything in there til' end of June. Still have some more equipment to get in the meantime though. I fully understand what you are going through. Better off to take it slow and do it right tho. And in the meantime remember......
