    does anyone have there own ORIGINAL, and REEF SAFE ways of irradicating aiptasia?

    definitely not original, but lemon juice or boiling water seem to work for me.

    corailline: i looked and that last one on the page looked good but i realized that my clown would be right there to eat it LOL that would have been bad.

    i guess ill try lemon juice? do i just cut it up and juice it and its ready to go?

    Honestly if the aiptasia is limited or isolated to one rock, I would remove the rock and kill the aiptasia that way.

    I just pulled some lemon juice into a syringe and squirted out just enough to make it shrivel up and die. I have heard that lemon juice can lower your pH, but I never had a problem with it affecting my pH.

    well its only an 8 gal with two rocks haha but thers probably 3-4 that i can see, and well if it lowers it ill do a water change.

    i pulled the rock and super glued over the last one when he went in his hole.

    its on a rock where my goby lives....litterally in the rock so i cant pull it out i hate when they retract themselves there so hard to get lol

    boil some water then shoot it into the center of the aipstasia. works really well shoot it in with a turkey baster or some sort of needle
