My Caribbean feather-duster worm has left his tube. Currently hanging on a ricordea with crown intact. Doesn't appear to be hurt. What should I do. Just place in the sand? Can I touch it or use gloves? I've had him for 2 years and he has been happy in the sandbed near an identical featherduster and hawaiian duster.

Sorry to hear that you lost your duster.

Honestly there was nothing you could do. For what ever reason the worm left it's tube and no matter where you put it inside of the tank the outcome would have been the same.
