panty hose??? can u elaborate??? i can understand using the feet out of a pair of panty hose but after i cut them out i'm still gonna b left with 2-3 ft of hose with a hole on each end, how do i seal that up to prevent the carbon from coming out....and will the hose keep the carbon spread out or will it all fall to the bottom of the hose??? does that matter???

You can tie the ends off and use mini zip ties, but I'd be careful with those things ripping open, it might be messy depending where you put them. If you already have the batting I'd say cut a square or circle put a pile in the center make a little pouch out of it pulling the edges up twist and zip tie it tight leaving some free room in the pouch. I think you want to make sure its nylon too or something synthetic and wash it good before placing in use.

If you can afford a 1 time purchase of about 35.00--get a phosban reactor to run your carbon--much more effective
