horibble mornin!

    hey guys!
    i just lost a koran angelfish (juvenile)... without any visible sign of illness... does any one know what this fish always get for them to die?? coz all my parameters are fine! i meant stable...

    i purchased it two weeks ago...
    accliamte fo 2 hours... when i let him go ... he immediatey graze on all my live rocks! so i thought it was a good sign, am i right??? although for two weeks it doesnt eat nethin i offer... just grazing on rocks... then yesterday it was just hiding in one cave and not swimming around... and this morning he's gone!

    any ideas is appreciated!

    its been up for about 5 months..55 gallon reef with LPS and softies...
    and ammonia is 0, nitrite 0, nitrate about 5-10, salinity.. 1.026 ph 8
    temp is 24-26 celcius!

    chances are whatever he was grazing on your rocks is an algae type that isnt nutritious enough to support an angel/tang. They really need a specific diet if they wont take frozen then you pretty much have to do a live food assortment such as macro algaes, chaeto, ect for them. Also I probably wouldnt recommend a koran in a 55g even as a baby they get big and moving them from tank to tank is a stressfull event for a not so easy to keep fish in the first place.

    got a blue hippo in there that is healthy and lively!i was plannin on upgrading to a 120 in bout a yir... just nid to save up...thnx fo da input guys... i guess ill jst skip getting another koran.. since they myt eat corals neways!
