I am a huge fan of the exquisite wrasse, the radiant wrasse, whip fin fairy wrasses and many of the other fairy wrasses.

Be careful with that 6 line though. I recall that yours is not a bully, so that should bode well for even smaller flasher warasses. Also, how big is the ornate wrasse? Ornates are also known as christmas wrasses, and I really like those as well. The christmas wrasse won't casue any issues, even if it is a big one. they get to almost 7".

If it were me I would get a trio of mccoskers flasher wrasses, 1 male and 2 females, or a trio of any other flashers. The male will flash constantly to show off to his harem. I plan on adding a trio pretty soon.

SICK, the xmas is only about 3 inches so far, and my sixline has been an angel and doesnt mess with anything(so far)

so if you say 3 flashers is cool then thats what ill go with bc i love those guys!

Yeah, take your time and figure out which flashers you would want. Wrasses are one of the most diverse kinds of fish. Seeing that your christmas is a halichoeres wrasse, you have the flatworm and pyramellid snail eating machine wrasse already in your tank:)

I will always recommend a halichoeres wrasse for just about any reef tank.

Darn thing with McCosker's is everyone is familiar with that beautiful pic Scott Michael took where its all "flashed" open and is green with a peppering of other colors... Fat chance finding that...
Most McCosker's or other flashers for that matter are typically red with slight changes from fish to fish... I have ordered just about every flasher wrasse on can and they all look very similar... Its the super odd balls that stand out and are shown on online sites and in books. If you want something sweet, try a rhombo(C.rhomboidalis) wrasse or a lineatus(C. lineatus)... or try a solar wrasse(C.solarensis) or blue sided wrasse(C.cyanopluera). I would potentailly forsee initial squabbles with whatever wrasse you choose. I would suggest rearranging the decor if you can when you add the new one.
