About two weeks ago I put an approx. 1 inch Horseshoe Crab in my 90 gal. and that was the last time I saw it. I know they burrough in the sand, but should'nt I be able to see it once and a while. Also my thoughts are if it died, then I would have seen the carcass or shell. I would think my CUC would have cleaned it up. Any suggestions

This is pretty common with these animals from what I've heard. I don't think most tanks are capable of maintaining them as they require lots of well developed sand with lots of worms and other critters in it. How long has your tank been setup and how deep is the sandbed?

They can grow really large (up to 2' from what I've read, although I'm sure it takes a long time) and will almost surely die eventually in a 90g tank as they grow since they will quickly deplete the sandbed of the food they feed on.

If it died it's possible it was cleaned up, it depends what you have for a cleanup crew, do you have anything that would dig under the sand to get at food? It could still be in there somewhere alive, you won't necessarily see it, ever.

I'm no expert that's just what I've read about them, so here's a link to a bunch more information for further research.
