hot glue on live rock

    Is it safe to use hot glue on live rock? It has been in for ever and its never stable so i thought if i could do a little something maybe i wouldn't worry as much

    Im not sure about hot glue but I know drilling and placing a dowel between pieces works well. Good luck.

    Many prefer that method as their scape can still be easily disassembled.

    You could also use Epoxy or Super Glue Gel.

    IMOPE, hot glue is more of an arts & crafts-grade adhesive. I have tried it in the past, for tank-related projects and otherwise, and it just doesn't hold well where stress, weight, or water is involved.

    Loctite Metal Magic Steel 10 min epoxy, is this the right stuff? I know it warms up while curing but it sats it works under water. Anyone know i this is tank safe?

    Personally, I wouldn't recommend anything with "metal" in the name. They do make an aquarium-grade putty stick; here's a list of others that will work:
