Hot MH Ballasts!!!

    This is one reason why I'm not a fan of the JBJ lights. They run HOT. My nanocube CF ballast caught on fire because it ran so hot. JBJ has a reputation for their ballasts running hot and burning out, and in some cases, catching on fire. I was lucky enough to be home when that happened. I unplugged it and ran outside and hosed it off FAST. I called JBJ and all they told me was "So you want to order a new replacement ballast?" :p
    I would definitely put your ballast on a stand and off the carpet though. The carpet will insulate the heat and prevent adequate airflow for cooling.

    cool. yeah i got it on a clay disc from a spare plant clay pot i had lying around.
