    Nice tank, good luck with it. Also nice job on the plumbing. You may want to consider adding a check valve to your system to prevent accidents from loss of power ect..
    I agree with rickzter, about skimming. I feel it doesn't hurt to get experience with running your equipment. You will need to know and tweak that equipment in the future.
    Once I get that yellowish tint or smell when I cure rock, I change the water. You may have to do it a couple of times.
