Was wondering a good combination of bulbs to run on my T5's
The fixture I have from aquatic life came with 2 10k and 2 420/460 bulbs

I wanted somthing diffrent. I heard 12k will bring out the reds and pinks more?

Also what is on this tank that gives it this dark sea light effect?

    I have 6X39w t5. Bulb combo= 3X ATI Blue+, ATI 12000k Bluespecial, UVL 75/25 white actinic and GE 6500k full spectrum.
Here's the color I get when all are lit

I like this look. However my daylights are not the issue. Im looking for somthing more appeasing when the daylights are out. not just a drap blue.

I am not an expert on T5's but with that said I have 16 generic bulbs on my porch that are brand new that I replaced with the good stuff. ATI and UVL are the real deal along with a few others. Unfortunetly all the LFS in the area carry the usual so so products like coralife etc. so I go to reefgeek.com for my bulbs. LFS' really don't know any better or they are too expensive for everyday clientel. A 4x39 is a little tricky only because like the last reefer showed it really takes a full spectrum of bulbs to get the colors but if that's what I had to work with I would put an ATI Blue plus (450nm) in the front and probably in the back. An ATI Aquablue (12K) and a UVL Aquasun (10K pink) in the middle. UVL has a 75/25 (14K) that might work also. You might want to check with Tangster here on 3reef or Grim Reefer on reefcentral. The grim reefer helped me with my assortment. I was looking for a bluer effect and that may not work for you with a 4x39 fixture. This is my tank today right after I stirred up the sand and my bulbs are over a year old and you can see my corals are growing well. I'm not so sure your that your positioning your fixture properly either...
