My tank is relatively new and I've had issues keeping a constant temp. I'm using T5 lights with a fan that runs 24-7. I find that during the day the temp gets up to 81 degrees F and at night down to 78 or maybe even 77 degrees. Is a 3 or 4 degree difference in temp in a 24 hour time period going to effect the health of my corals??

    Thanks

lol, yes I meant the fan. The actinics and 10,000k bulbs are on timers but I don't have space for the fan on the timed outlet so it runs all the time. I have softies, some lps, and some sps (sps is only 2 small frags of montipora).

ah i see...well the way it was spelled it couldve meant what i was thinking.:p either way why are ur fans running 24/7? the temp swing is normal. the fans wont be doing much (for the positive at least) once the lights go out. we usually only run fans when the lights are on to disipate heat correct? what temp is the room that the tank is in?
