The clownfish are tank raised and are young. Any ideas?

no clue. I've heard tale it is a learned behavior... and so in tank raised they won't be taught the behavior.

My two Osc Clowns were supposedly tank raised...

But they do host often in my feeding Leather Mushroom Coral...

    I usually just laugh...

i was told in time when they grown up and start to look at things more, they will try to touch the frogspawn and in time they will be happy with it and start to feel safe around it.

i had other guy tell me that if your clown fish are the king of the tank they will feel no need to host in the frogspawn.

my clown fish never cared for my corals and then i added a midnight angle fish much bigger then him. and he has been looking at them a lot more, i can see that.

    i hope this helps.

My clowns tried to "reside" in my zoas at night and one still does once in a while but I bought a GBTA when i seen them sleeping in there and now they both reside in my GBTA

I'm not sure that you really want them to nest in your frogspawn as they could easily irritate/kill it with their constant rubbing, nuzzling and/or biting. The clownfish in my signature (and its mate) nuzzled the elegance that they were nesting in (also in my signature) to death. After they killed the elegance, they moved into a gigas clam which they also subsequently killed. It would be better if they nested in a soft coral as they seem to be a lot tougher than LPS corals when it comes to the constant attention that a clownfish will give it.

What kind of clownfish and how big is the frogspawn? I've had OCs in my frogspawn for many years without issue, but it is a fairly large frogspawn. Bigger clowns and/or a smaller frogspawn could be more problematic.

dellyjoe, a frogspawn is a Large Polyp Stony coral.
