what corals do you have now? and I think it all depends on your market I.E. how and where you advertise :)

if u really wanna grow some coral, get a 1000w halide with a 6500k bulb...and then put the coral under a higher kelvin to color it up...haha..

I have a kenya and GSP and zoas and xenia..Those are my money makes. My tank pays for itself..Litteraly.

The zoas grow the slowest, but i have to cut them back every 2 months, i have to cut xenia back every month and kenya tree drops 5 branches a week.

Any home hobbiest who thinks that they're going to make a lot of money selling a few frags is in for disappointment I'm afraid. By the time you factor in the the overhead required to grow those corals (electricity, salt, water, etc.), you'll end up in the red before you realize any kind of profit.

    +1

there is no make money fast scheme in growing/ selling corals...

I frag some of my SPS corals and sell to local reefers, usually goes for $5-15 a pop. The money I've gotten selling these frags I put back into buying more corals... I just want a diverse system, and I'm basically trading what I have for something I want..

let's see... $5k or so invested. around $75 in corals sold. Net profit so far: $-4925.00 and that's not counting electric bills.
