    Hey,
I have a peppermint shrimp in my tank and at the bottom on it it has ball-like circles in it's under flaps. And every time it opens them up, it lets out a few of them. I don't know if it is scat or if it is eggs tat are either about to hatch, or are getting in place to. So let me me know if you have any information on tis unfimiliar topic.

Hey, those sound like eggs to me, I have cleaner shrimp that fill up all the time. some shrimp are hermaphidites, and if yours was recently caught or in a tank with others it could be fertile. Mine shake their gill plates all the time when the eggs build up. Dont worry about the couple of ones that come loose. if you are lucky enough to see the spawning youll be amazed. one shrimp in my 80g tank makes the tank almost cloudy with 1`000s of fry. the are born free swimming just after lights out. yes the fish eat well but these little guys go into the rock before morning. so you will have tons of them.

My pepermint had the same thing. I saw little flippy things in the water 2 nights ago, but nothing this morning. (bummer)
I think mine got nailed by the pumps...
    Good luck.
