well i never had a fish tank before and my little sister had come up with the idea of a seahorse tank. and i thought hmmmmm that would be pretty cool. so i was game plus i had some extra cash i was planning on blowing anyhow.

so this is what happened point form:
    - i bought a hexagon tank from Craigslist for 75 bucks
    - and then the sameday went to my LFS for lights/ filter / sand
    - realized at the lfs this is friggin expensive for lights and filter alone
-then the guy knew he was about to lose me from buying anything. so he showed me the biocube. and i said "lights/filter/ and tank in one unit, NO WAY" i was sold.
    - so i went home having spent 500 bucks on biocube with sand and 15lbs of rock. filled it and began the cycle.
    - i aslo returned the other tank from the lady on craigslist but didnt ask for all my money just 2/3 of it for the trouble
    - now it was time to educate myself. bought a few books and realized the seahorse idea was impossible for a newbie like me.
    -so REEF TANK IT IS

um mine started like 3 years ago with me and my friend going to Wendys and a fish store was right next door...well me just always having pets growing up (never fish) wanted to go in...well i came out with a 20gallon fish tank...it was freshwater and i had no idea what i was doing...i put 20gal of tap water in it and threw fish in right out of the bag...well they died...too falling in love with green spotted puffers to taking back all my freshwater fish to convert my tank to brackish....(upgraded to 29gal btw) to one day starring at a pair of perc with my roommate(that i got him into the hobby) and he said ill convert if u do...so we dived in...took of puffers back and got a pair of percs..2 now keeping a 46gal and a 29gal tank...and planning on starting a 90gal
