How do I choose my bulkheads?

    Ok, I'm confused. I've been researching online about what bulkheads I need to use. I am working on building a 75g reef with shrooms and leathers. Does the bulkhead size refer to the size of the pipe it accepts, the size of the hole it requires or the outside diameter of the bulkhead including the flange? Me is confuzzed.

    Please help. I've been trying to figure this out for a while. I'm at a stand still until I can knock this one out.

    The size of the pipe. The size of the hole required will vary depending on SCH40 or SCH80 bulkheads.
